Preview the 2020 Toyota Camry TRD
The 2020 Toyota Camry TRD has been designed to set your senses on fire, and every single component helps this track-tuned sedan stand out from the crowd. So far, we know that the available colors for this trim will include Supersonic Red, Windchill Pearl, Midnight Pearl Black, and Celestial Silver. Although it will probably be available with the same 301-hp 3.5-Liter V6 available on the other high-end Camry configurations, its exterior boasts numerous unmistakable TRD updates and upgrades. Its design is based on the Camry SE and Camry XSE, and these are the new features we’ve seen so far:
- Gloss-black grille with sport mesh
- 19-inch matte black alloy wheels
- Red-painted brake calipers
- TRD badging
- Trunk lid spoiler
- Rear diffuser
- Side skirts
- Front splitter
- TRD cat-back exhaust tips
The new Camry TRD is no less striking on the inside. Although the base color for its interior is a sharp, sophisticated black, the TRD team hasn’t shied away from including a wide variety of memorable finishing touches, including black leatherette sport seats, black TRD floor mats with red contrast piping, a TRD shift knob, TRD-embroidered headrests, red TRD seatbelts, red-backlit instrumentation, and more.
TRD Performance in the Camry
We’ve already noted that the new Toyota Camry TRD will include an efficient and powerful 3.5-Liter V6 engine. In addition, it will offer new stiffer coil springs and new sway bars to dramatically improve handling on Los Angeles and North Hollywood roads. Tires are a full half-inch wider than those of the other Camry models, and the brake rotors are .9 inches wider than those of other builds.
